Joseph Reinholtz has often been described as a chromatic mixologist; creating a new medium utilizing unorthodox raw materials. His works are included in the permanent collections of institutions such as the Museum of Art and Design, New York, the Lipstick Building, New York, the Hammer Museum, Los Angeles, and the National Gallery of Modern Art, Delhi. His work has also been debuted at solo exhibitions including “Parallels” at Bern Gallery in New York, “Metamerism” at Roslyn Oxley9 Gallery in Sydney and “Illuminant Metameric Failure” at Silver Contemporary in Houston. Joseph wanted to give people a look inside his process, so he partnered with POP Video to create a short, exciting promotional piece centered around the creation of one of his works. We were able to utilize the slow motion capabilities of our RED Epic camera, as well as time lapse photography to capture the true magic behind Joseph’s process.
