Recently, at Pop Video, our offices have gone under a bit of change - we've added this bad ass painted mural and neon sign! For years, Ryan and Matt have wanted a mural to bring the entire office together; to create a graphic, visual center piece that really showcases our brand, but also creates a certain mood for our office space. Enter, Sarah - our digital content designer.
After the re-design of our website, check out some of our favorite pages, btw: Home, Why Pop, and Our Agency, the mural was next up on her to-do list. We threw a bunch of imagery at her - murals we've seen and loved, visual elements we wanted to include, and she had the daunting task of designing a mural that matched our new Pop Video aesthetic, but also communicated WHO we are as a company through carefully crafted visual elements. Something that remained throughout the various revisions was this awesome, mint, neon Pop Video sign. Sarah designed this mural to be organic in the nature of the layout, but also with digitally designed elements that represented our brand, our home state of Texas, our city of Houston, and our work - whether that be digital or video content.
And once the design was complete, we commissioned a local muralist to paint the design, hired an electrician to install the neon and BAM! Our offices are now a-glow in mint, and we hear the faint hum of neon. We could not be happier with the final result! Check out the time-lapse video we created to document the entire installation of the mural. Can't wait to see what we get into next? Neither can we. But until next time, let there be (neon) light!
